Food and ambiance excellent. Our server was also excellent. I had jumbo shrimp with vegetables in a spicy sauce. Boyfriend had fried shrimp with veggies and a brown sauce. Our waiter was attentive and kept our glasses full. I would have given this place 5 stars except when I received the bill it had an 18% tip automatically added to the bill. I thought that was rude, as I did not see a sign that said they include a tip. We were lucky our waiter was great. In fact, I was going to give the waiter more but because they had the audacity to add a tip I paid what they calculated.

This was a great find. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in Asian aesthetic. The facilities are clean and well kept. The service was great and efficient, our drinks were constantly being refilled and dirty dishes and cutlery were promptly cleared. The food was fresh & delicious and the hibachi experience was awesome! Our chef was engaging and entertaining. We went there for my son's birthday and they sang happy birthday with music and flashing glasses (you get to keep those). They even asked us if it was someone's birthday so we didn't even had to sneak around Lol. Great food, great vibe, great service and great first hibachi experience.

I've been going to this "strip mall" restaurant for years. It's always been reliable, solid, just not deserving of a 5-star review. In fact, I could see many saying it's no more than a 3 - 3.5, but here's why it's a 4 in my book. I've never had a disappointing meal here and I've eaten in and had take-out. I've been getting both of those since when it only was a Chinese restaurant and before they remodeled it to serve Chinese, Sushi, and Hibachi. Now it has something for more palates. It's a great party location because of this aforementioned diversity of cuisines. Most Hibachi places are thought of that way, but many, maybe most, do not also have sushi and Chinese food too. We had a family celebration just recently, Christmas Eve, in the Hibachi section. Everyone enjoyed it, even with the somewhat higher prices they had just for this occasion, and we had a real good time. Typical Hibachi show and nothing special, but all was well made. I'm more often here for the Chinese food though. It's one of the better places, though not the best I've been to. Frankly, this area of New Jersey is a bit lacking in real good Chinese food, of any style (closer to the GWB would be a better bet), but I do recommend it if you're seeking something close to you in this immediate area. My favorite dish here may be the Firecracker Beef. They do that one justice.

Imperial 46 is one of the best and my favourite restaurant in the area!! Food is always delicious and the owner, manager and staff couldn't be nicer. As I was placing my take out order today, I was surprised to read the reviews below and thought I needed to say something; I've been eating at this restaurant since 2008 and never experienced anything like this. I've known Chung and his family for many years and they run a great restaurant. They are the nicest people. I hope whoever wrote this, considers the owner's fair offer to resolve the issue. I would!

I have been here many times since my initial review and always have a good experience. The hibachi is expensive, but every part is so good from the meat to the fried rice to the vegetables. It's a great experience for a special occasion or just if you're in the mood.

Overrall it's not a bad spot to accommodate everyone's craving - with a Chinese, Japanese, and sushi menu there's all something for everyone.

My clients were in the mood for Japanese and we ordered from there. They called in the order and were able to adjust it for budget purposes. I ordered the salmon teriyaki lunch special. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and had to go to the takeout side. The food was ready and I paid and had help to my car. When I dug in the food was very filling but I had to add a little season salt. The salmon was very tender. All in all, I had a pretty decent experience.
